Our KU Select Collection remains our cornerstone pledging option. In this model, librarians actively shape Open Access offerings through inclusive selection and voting processes, thereby providing financial support for OA initiatives driven by shared academic and societal needs.
For our KU Select Collection 2027, we are looking for strong humanities and social science monographs that link scholarly research to community‑based perspectives.

Participating publishers benefit from wider readership, transparent funding, and a selection process driven by an international community of librarians. Most importantly, you’ll be helping to make scholarly work openly available to inspire teaching, inform practice, and strengthen public engagement.
The Book Processing Charge (BPC), which is payable per title to publishers whose content is selected for the collection, enables the selected titles in the collection to be published in Open Access and is set at €8.580 per title.

· Frontlist driven
· Copyright year 2027 (Jan-Dec)
· Peer-reviewed
· English language
· Key metadata readily available
· Prioritising accessible format, according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
